Beds
One of the best things you can do for Fido is to make sure he has a comfy doggy bed. Consider your canine buddy’s age when shopping. Orthopedic doggy beds are great for older dogs and large breeds, while bolstered beds are often a hit with little pooches.
Puppy Fun Zone
If you have a yard, why not make Fido a doggy play area? If your pup likes to dig, make him a sandbox, and bury toys and treats in it. You can also incorporate a kiddy pool, durable toys, and, of course, a doghouse.
Portable Water Bottle
If you like to explore with your furry pal, consider getting Fido a doggy water bottle. These have attached dispensers, which are great for when you’re on the go.
Toys
Toys are a great gift option for dogs! Keep Fido’s personality in mind when you go shopping. Chew toys are a great option for puppies, while frisky pooches may appreciate a fun puzzle toy.
Homemade Treats
If you like baking, consider making your four-legged pal some yummy treats. You’ll find lots of great recipes online. Choose ones that use dog-safe ingredients, like natural peanut butter, plain yogurt, meat, cheese, eggs, and ripe bananas. Ask your vet for more information.
Automated Ball Launcher
If Fido loves running after tennis balls, an automated ball launcher would make him a great gift. (Note: these are not recommended for large breeds, because big dogs can choke on tennis balls.)
Elevated Doggy Dishes
Medium and large dogs are often much more comfortable eating from elevated dishes than from bowls on the floor. Consider upgrading Fido’s dinnerware.
Veterinary Care
Visiting us probably wouldn’t make Fido’s wish list, but your canine pal will be much healthier—and therefore happier—with regular veterinary care. Make an appointment for your furry best bud.
Paw Care Products
Fido can get painful paw burns walking on hot or harsh surfaces. Paw balm is a great stocking stuffer for Man’s Best Friend!
